Bandy Carrol Hellige, a public relations agency, is now accepting internship applications for the spring and summer semesters. There are openings in the Indianapolis or Louisville offices. Arthritis Foundation
The Arthritis Foundation is seeking a fall public relations intern to help create a public relations plan for our Bone Bash. We are a 501(c)3 charity and would like an intern to help us research, plan and coordinate a PR plan for our annual Halloween gala fundraising event.
The ideal candidate will also be charged with executing our Jingle Bell Run public relations plan. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: writing news releases, generating op ed pieces, updating Facebook and Twitter accounts, attending vendor fairs, planning promotional events and creating communication with past fundraisers and team captains.
Some general office tasks will also be expected. This internship is 20 hours a week for 15 weeks and pays $500/month.
Requirements:
- Public Relations major (Preferred) - Strong passion for writing
- Interest in not-for-profit work
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Great communication skills
- Ability to work independently - Some research knowledge

Baise Communications is seeking a self-motivated, energetic, creative and highly organized individual to serve as a public relations intern for the fall. Excellent communication skills and a strong interest in public relations, social media and media relations are preferred. The fall intern will help with day-to-day responsibilities managing clients and executing campaigns. More specifically, the intern will help with the media and promotions surrounding a restaurant opening, monthly media relations for art exhibitions, public relations around a large-scale nonprofit event, and social media messaging and strategizing for several nonprofit clients. Indiana House of Representatives
The Indiana House of Representatives hires communications interns. The paid, full-time internship is located at the Indiana Statehouse in downtown Indianapolis and will run from the beginning of January through the end of April. Interns will assist with writing press releases, columns, op-eds, e-newsletters and website content in addition to media pitching, photography, graphic design, social media and video production. Interns will work directly with Indiana State Representatives to manage media relations for print, TV and radio.
Visit Indy
Visit Indy is looking for a communications intern for the Fall 2016 semester. Applicant should be organized, self-motivated and proactive with junior or senior standing and previous experience in writing. Key job responsibilities will include providing support to the marketing and communication department, drafting press releases, manage radio promotions, and assisting with promotional campaigns.
